On Sunday, May 22, 2016, the inauguration of the Ovidiu Recreation Park was held. Located on the shore of Lake Siutghiol, in Constanta, the total value of the project is 5592644,82 lei and it was suggested as a successful European funding project in Brussels.

"I want the inhabitants of our city, from the children to the elderly, to enjoy this project. It is a project through which I wanted to give back the shore of Siutghiol Lake to the locals, "said mayor George Scupra.

The event was attended by approximately 4500 people who declared themselves happy with this project because it will provide them a relaxing environment, the park being equipped with playgrounds, belleview areas, observation telescopes and amphitheater.
